The Rosie Milky Way🥛
Day 10 in the month of Ramadan and we have another problem. Uncle Idris (who runs the kitchen) will be ordering milk for people to break their fast with and consume during tarawih. The traditional drink of milk and rose water dilute is a favourite at Bright Beacen Mosque. He wanted to get an idea of how much milk he would need. The purchase is usually done by a community elder who has decided to travel during Ramamdan. He has been tallying how much milk is consumed by community members over the last few days.
His method of tallying has been a little strange. he has been tallying how much milk has been consumed per row where members have been sitting.
There seems to be a problem with his keyboard however. Sometimes his keyboard has repeatedly jammed and some numbers have been repeated making it look like a larger value.
A jammed key means a digit may appear repeated, but represents a single digit.
This means that 111 should equal 1.
each entry has been marked by / and the end of a row is denoted by a ;.
For example row 1:
1111/2/33/11/1/0000/111/22/00/44444444/22/222222/11/;
This should read:
1/2/3/1/1/1/2/4/2/2/1/;
This means that a total of 20 cups of milk has been consumed by row 1. (eg. 1+2+3+1+1+1+2+4+2+2+1 = 20)
Given that in the UK, a pint is 568.26ml and that purchased milk containers are sold as 4 pint containers, 3 4-pint containers would be needed for row 1 with the assumption that a cup is 250ml. Uncle Idris must order slightly more than is required in order to make sure that all cups are filled to 250ml by rounding up to the nearest whole container.
Remember:
- 1 cup = 250ml
- 1 pint = 568.26ml
- Milk is sold in 4-pint containers
How many 4-pint containers does he need for tonight based on How many 4-pint containers does he need for tonight based on the input file he has been given?
